Baby Food recipes: Tasty Spinach Soup

You will need …

  • 5-6 leaves spinach.

  • Half a tomato (ripe, medium size).

  • 1 tbsp curd.

  • 1 tbsp corn flour dissolved in ½ cup water.

  • 1 tbsp butter.

  • Salt to taste.

How to make Tasty Spinach Soup

  1. Thoroughly wash the spinach leaves.

  2. Put the leaves along with half a tomato in a cooker. Add 1 cup water and allow 1 whistle. Remove from fire.

  3. When the pressure releases remove the vegetables. Remove skin of tomato. Blend peeled tomato and spinach leaves with the water in a mixer to obtain a thick puree.

  4. In a pan heat 1 tsp butter. Add the puree.

  5. Add the curd and cornflour mix and stir well on low flame for approx 2 minutes. Remove from fire.

  6. Add a pinch of salt and a few drops of lemon juice (optional).
