Baby Food recipes for 5-6: Apple Stew

Creating An Apple Stew That Kids Love

Whether you have an infant or a young child, your first priority is feeding them nutritious and healthy meals. Unfortunately healthy and nutritious usually doesn't go hand in hand with yummy. At least in the eyes of many young children across the world. Luckily, I found a wonderful recipe for apple stew that is going to be a hit at the kitchen table.

You more than likely have heard the proverb about an apple a day, keeps the doctor away. Recent studies have proven that to be true, especially with infants and children.

Apples have several benefits for young children including stomach disorders, constipation, coughs, and dental issues.

My apple stew is the perfect recipe for any stomach disorder your little one may be suffering from. We know how much pain they are in, but there seems to be so little we can do to ease the pain. If you feed a small amount of this stew to your baby, you will see a massive improvement. Apples are rich in polyphenols, which help to build a protective layer on the stomach lining. This layer in turn reduces the chances of gastric injuries.

For babies who are suffering from constipation and diarrhea, a good apple stew will help to bring about a sense of regularity. Apples are full of nutrition as well as essential dietary fibers for regular bowel movements. If not treated your baby can end up on a dangerous cycle. The apple stew will help return your baby to a regular cycle as well as bring in important moisture to their system.

My apple stew recipe only requires four simple ingredients, all of which should be in your kitchen right now. The entire recipe will take less than thirty minutes to prepare. Not only will your child love this simple recipe, but you know you are keeping them healthy in the background.
